Horse-traffic forecast
You know when it's going to rain. Now you know when the horses are out.
Hoofdodger forecasts horse traffic in the forests of Île-de-France, hour by hour. The shared path stops being a surprise, for you and the horse.
Free, no account, on your phone at the car park.
The season pass: €2.99 for 30 days, the whole region.

Saturday · l'Hautil · example
Quiet window: 13:00–17:00
A blind bend, a fast descent, 500 kg that spooks.
A mountain biker descends fast and silently. That's exactly what spooks a horse.
No one comes out of that moment well. The rider can be thrown, the mountain biker can end up in the trees.
And each incident strengthens those who want to ban bikes on these paths.
Trailforks, Strava
Trail condition reports, often three weeks old. Nothing on the club that rides every Sunday at 09:00.
Komoot, AllTrails
They draw the line of the route. They say nothing about who will be on it.
The club group
The real knowledge is there. But it scrolls past, and it is not mapped.
Horse traffic is the most predictable traffic in the forest.
It comes from fixed stables, uses designated bridle paths, at club hours. Weekend mornings, in good weather.
It's calculated before the first user. After that, every sighting added after a ride refines this path segment's forecast, for good.

Every risk level shows the evidence behind it, and each band carries its own hatch pattern. Example figures: real forecasts open forest by forest, starting with the Hautil.
Open your forest
One page per forest. The text loads before the map, to hold up on a weak signal at the car park.
Read the 24-hour band
One glance: your hour is quiet, or it is not. The quiet window is written out plainly.
Add what you saw
After the ride, three taps: where, when, how many. Next Saturday's forecast changes.
With a pass, an email every Friday at 19:00: your Saturday morning quiet window, for your forest. Nothing to tap while you ride.

A horse is not an obstacle. It's traffic.
Stables never pay
They can declare their riding hours, correct the map, or ask for their point to be removed.
No person is ever recorded
A sighting keeps a horse, a place, an hour, a number. No name, no photo, no description.
No leaderboards, no points
The behaviour that wins a segment is the one that hits a horse. We reward nothing.
We say when the forecast is weak
Reliability is written out with its numbers, before any payment. Even when it costs us a sale.
